Critical Illness

AmeriValue Plan provides the Primary Member (and spouse if Family Plan is selected) with coverage at up to $2,500 in the case of Critical Illness. If you (or your spouse, if covered) are diagnosed with a life-threatening Critical Illness, this benefit helps you to concentrate on getting better, instead of worrying about medical bills.

This plan provides a lump sum benefit if the Primary Member (or covered spouse) is diagnosed with a Critical Illness, including: life threatening cancer; heart attack; kidney (renal) failure; stroke; coma; loss of sight, speech or hearing; paralysis; or severe burns. Waiting periods and pre-existing condition limitations apply.


To make a claim, a written notice of claim must be given to the Company within 20 days after an Insured Person’s loss, or as soon thereafter as reasonably possible. Notice given by or on behalf of the claimant to the Company at American International Companies®, Accident and Health Claims Division, P.O. Box 15701, Wilmington, DE 19850-5701, with information sufficient to identify the Insured Person, is deemed notice to the company.
